Voter Registration Fund

Bolstering our electorate and increasing voter participation strengthens our democracy. Yet, over 60 million potential voters are not registered, and they are disproportionately young people  and people of color. Closing these generational and racial registration gaps will create a more representative democracy and have an impact that lasts for many cycles.

Our Voter Registration Fund supports seven grassroots groups working in five states through The America Votes Education Fund (AVEF). Their goal is to register 672,000 new voters in under-registered  communities with potential voters who are  younger and diverse. AVEF is uniquely positioned to coordinate this nonpartisan voter registration work on a national scale.

These are the groups currently supported by the Fund. Donations will be granted to groups by AVEF to fill gaps where most needed.

Voter registration is only the first step in this process. Sustained outreach to newly registered voters is also an essential part of this work. Once these voters are in the voter contact universe, AVEF and its state level partners will be communicating with them early, and often, to ensure that they know how to exercise their newly earned right to vote.

Donations to these 501(c)(3) organizations are tax-deductible. They may be made from donor advised funds (DAFs), as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from some retirement accounts, and from family foundations. You can also donate by check.
